Hair loss is a significant issue for anyone that experiences it. There are many potential causes and the best solutions may be different for each person based on their medical concerns, medications, supplements and family history.
The most common cause of hair loss is hereditary and occurs as either “female-pattern” baldness or “male-pattern” baldness. Fortunately, many people with thinning hair growth factors, as found in platelet-rich plasma (PRP), can help stimulate the activity of the hair follicle and promote new hair growth.

How often should I receive PRP treatments for hair loss?
Treatments are usually performed once a month for the first 3-4 months, then every 3-6 months thereafter depending on the individual’s response and results
How soon will I see results?
Anticipated results can be first seen within two to three months
What results will I get?
The first noticeable result is usually decreased hair shedding. This will be followed by early regrowth and length of hair
Is PRP alone enough?
Platelet –rich plasma (PRP) is one mode of treatment. Most people would benefit from a combination of therapies which may include prescription medications and recommended supplements. Studies have shown the benefit of PRP beyond the normal treatment protocols used in the past. One such study compared PRP with minoxidil vs. PRP alone vs. minoxidil alone for the treatment of hair loss. The PRP group had greater benefit than the minoxidil group. The combination therapy group (PRP with minoxidil) had better outcomes than either therapy alone.
