Skincare

What is “medical grade” skincare?

Medical or pharmaceutical grade skincare is offered by establishments that operate under a physician’s license (i.e., medical director).  These products often have many of the same key ingredients found in department store or cosmetic brands.  The difference is that the medical grade products have higher concentrations of the active ingredients and are formulated for better absorption into the skin.

Not all “medical-” or “pharmaceutical-” grade products are the same.   Different brands perform differing amounts of research on their products.   At Goldson Medical Associates, LLC we have chosen two brands created by reputable companies that have actual research studies demonstrating the efficacy of their products.

The cost of these products is similar to department store brands that you may have tried in the past.  The key difference again is making choices based on available research on which ingredients/products are best for a given skin type or cosmetic result.  The products listed below can be expected to offer improved results in a shorter time than the other products available in the department or drug stores.
